ADOLF HITLER’S “SPEECH TO THE OLD FIGHTERS”, HOFBRÄUHAUS, FEBRUARY 24, 1938 - Album containing Adolf Hitler’s secret speech to the old guard of the NSDAP, the text of which was only partially released to the general public. In this address, delivered in the Munich Hofbraühaus, the German Führer tells his audience that the “national revolution” is an accomplished fact and that only two points of the National Socialist Party program remained unfulfilled: the restoration of Germany’s former overseas colonies and the unification of all Germans within the borders of the Reich. Announcing that there is no reason why these goals cannot be attained peacefully, he states that the legitimacy of the Reich’s aspirations for equality and justice would one day be acknowledged by the Versailles powers themselves and, ironically, he predicts the ultimate failure of those forces then agitating for a general European war. No Commentary. Double CD: DS1387 DISCONTINUED
DR. JOSEPH GOEBBELS SPEAKS IN THE BERLIN SPORTPALAST, FEB. 18, 1943 - Double album featuring a complete recording of Reich Minister Dr. Joseph Goebbels’ famous “Total War” speech, delivered in the aftermath of the disaster at Stalingrad to a cross section of wartime German society assembled in the Berlin Sportpalast. Reaching the zenith of his rhetorical technique on this occasion, the little Doktor employs the provocative, militant oratorical style that was his trademark during the early, street-fighting days of the Kampfzeit. In the course of his remarks, Goebbels presents an unvarnished picture of the titanic struggle then raging in the East and sounds a clarion call for the defense of European civilization against the onrushing communist hordes, while proclaiming far-reaching measures to mobilize the entire continent’s human and industrial potential for the life and death struggle ahead. A rousingly defiant, resounding call to arms by the master of propaganda. Double CD: DS1412 DISCONTINUED
